Architectural Technician

After 10 years of furniture making I went back to school as a ‘mature’ student and retrained as an Architecture Technician. 10 years later I am joining the team at HDT having worked in a wide range of areas including commercial, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Justice and high design residential with a number of these projects receiving NZIA local awards. I have continued my furniture making work part time alongside of this as a compliment and contrast to the architectural work. It continues to refresh and re-inspire me. I am passionate about the creative and making process, be it buildings or furniture.

Life outside work revolves around family, friends and our home. An area of focus for us is, whilst staying connected to my French heritage, supporting my wife on her journey into her Māori heritage, te reo and tikanga, which we’re hoping leads to a trilingual household. I am also slightly obsessed with surfing.
