Emma Shaw graduated with a Master of Architecture (Professional) from Victoria University of Wellington in 2012. Her final year thesis entitled 'Lost Property' explored the topics of second-hand exchange, human trace, memory, and ruins which led to the design of a Junk Shop in the centre of Christchurch. Her interests within the field of Architecture include adaptive re-use, residential architecture, and exploring space through model-making and drawing.
Outside of architecture Emma loves to discover new eateries with her husband, hunt for retro homewares and mid century modern furniture, hit the gym in winter and the beach in summer, and is also an active member of Arise church. One day she hopes to see the architecture of Scandinavia and Southern Europe, but for now is happy exploring Aotearoa.
