FREYBERG POOL MAINTENANCE

The Award-winning 1963 Freyberg Swimming Pool is a strong modernist statement on Wellington’s waterfront. HDT has assisted WCC in developing and maintaining the building over recent years.

Projects have included a two-stage development of a fitness centre, new sauna, steam room, new double glazing systems, ceiling replacement and improvements, pool refurbishments and development of the entrance and change rooms.

Each project has been part of a process of enhancing the building’s value to the city while respecting it’s place as an historic part of Wellington’s architectural history.
