Originating from Belfast, Maeve graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 2015 where she studied the beloved Charles Rennie Mackintosh building in depth; surveying and hand drawing three, unique sections of the building in the same year of the tragic fire in 2014. She moved to London, where she gained a wide range of experience including commercial new builds on Oxford St, office fit outs throughout London and education master planning projects in rural England. She gained chartership to become a UK registered architect in 2017.
In her travels through Canada, Europe, Asia and New Zealand, Maeve has a harnessed a curiosity in understanding contextual processes & materials in design and architecture. She came to Wellington in 2019 to broaden her experience and learn from the Aotearoa practices of timber construction, sustainable design and disaster prevention.
Maeve is enjoying the more temperate weather of NZ with lots of exploring, camping, hiking and cycling at the weekends.
