Cary has spent the past 20 years working on high-specification residential projects for private end user clients in London, many of which were located within the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. He has also contributed to a range of commercial projects, including a prestigious jewellery store on the corner of Berkeley Square in Mayfair.

Six months ago, after a coin toss, Cary decided to return to New Zealand — and to where it all began: AHDT. He originally joined HDT in Wellington after graduating from the Victoria University School of Architecture in 2001.

Cary values the many facets of being an architect and particularly enjoys working closely with clients to ensure their buildings meet all expectations.

Now settled in Hamilton, he looks forward to enjoying the great outdoors that Aotearoa has to offer, along with the exciting opportunities in New Zealand’s architectural landscape.
