After 10 years of furniture making, Dominic went back to school as a ‘mature’ student and retrained as an Architecture Technician. 10 years later he joined HDT - having worked in a wide range of areas including commercial, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Justice and high design residential with a number of these projects receiving NZIA local awards. Dominic has continued his furniture making work part-time alongside of this, as a compliment and contrast to the architectural work. He is passionate about the creative and making process, be it buildings or furniture.
Life outside work revolves around family, friends and home. Whilst staying connected to his French heritage, the Dominic is focused on supporting wife on her journey into her Māori heritage, te reo and tikanga, which is leading to a trilingual household. He is also slightly obsessed with surfing.
