Emma started in HDT as a recent graduate in 2010. She moved to Canada for her OE in 2013 gaining valuable experience in large mixed-use projects. She stayed a little longer than she meant too but six years later she returned to Christchurch and worked for a local practice in their healthcare team. In 2021 she returned to HDT in their newly formed Christchurch office.
She is passionate about using emerging technologies like virtual and augmented reality to communicate architectural designs to clients and stakeholders. She is currently completing her Masters in Human Interface Technologies where she is researching the use of Virtual Reality and Game Engines for healthcare design.
In her spare time she enjoys going on hikes with her wife Wendy and their dog Ike. She’s thoroughly enjoying being back in her home town enjoying all the new bars and cafes that have popped up recently.
