Hilary brings over 25 years of experience across New Zealand, Australia, and the UK, working on projects of various scales in the temporary events, commercial, and tertiary education sectors. Her background in collaborative design environments has given her a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the building process—from master planning as a specialist consultant to on-site contract administration.
She has contributed to several NZIA award-winning projects in both the commercial and education sectors and has a strong, ongoing interest in the evolving design philosophies within open office environments, healthcare and palliative care.
As a Project Architect, Hilary’s main responsibility is to lead project delivery by providing well-considered, practical design solutions in close collaboration with clients, stakeholders, consultants, and contractors. Her past work on international temporary event structures, often under tight deadlines, has fostered a decisive, solutions-focused approach, while integrating modern construction methods into her design process.
Outside of work, Hilary is a mum of three young adults and can often be found running (literally and figuratively) between different mountain ranges, sharing her time between Hawke’s Bay & Whanganui.
