Natasja grew up in Hawkes Bay and completed a Master of Architecture (Professional) at Victoria University of Wellington. Her master’s thesis explored the intersection of painting and architecture using Napier as a site for enquiry. She used paint as a generative tool alongside other design processes to push conventional boundaries and inspire new perspectives around architectural practice.

Creativity has always played a central role in Natasja’s work. Early interests in art developed into a broader design practice, and studying architecture offered a natural extension of that creative foundation. Her thesis became a way to bring these interests together, exploring how artistic approaches can contribute to the architectural design process.

Outside of work, Natasja enjoys painting, reading, travelling, staying active, and spending quality time with friends and family.
