What was a tired Irish Pub has been torn apart and converted into a modern and exciting new gastro pub.

The building was stripped back to the bare essentials in order to reveal the building’s original character and to provide a foundation for the new design. A new conservatory extension was added to the north side of the building and this has transformed the appearance of the building from its most visible perspective.

The interior provides a range of spaces and interior environments for customers to enjoy. The bar servery has a huge back fitting that extends beyond the bar itself and is punctuated by openings through into the conservatory. The bar top is lit by a row of glass pendant lights that are made from pylon electrical insulators and the raw ‘off the form’ concrete bar front and conservatory walls are contrasted with the dark walnut bar joinery. The kitchen has been totally replanned and rebuilt in order to cater to the large number of customers. Large sliding doors open up to provide a strong link to a generous Garden Bar. Scrap metal sheets have been utilized inside and out to fabricate screens, gates, planters and light fittings. Inside and out the overall effect is a relaxed casual atmosphere with a creative edge.
