Seatoun House

Seatoun House is a high quality new-build located in the Seatoun ‘Waterfront’ development.

Wrapping cedar-clad “shells” form the north and south wings and contain the primary living areas upstairs, maximising views north and west out to Wellington Harbour.

Planning of the internal spaces is open, flowing and provides for flexible use. Planning on the lower floor allows for a self contained guest area. A glazed double-height atrium encompasses a cantilevered timber stair and acts as a natural heat trap. Electronically controlled aluminium louvre blades line the west side of the atrium to provide shading and privacy when required. The exposed location required careful thought in order to produce the sleek and durable construction detailing.
